      Pros

      There are some really great, long time BBC employees who really want the best for their coworkers and the company as whole.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, those people are becoming fewer and farther in between because the Executive Management has run people out of the company. The 'good ol' boys' club is palpable at this company. The "relationships" you make always trump your work. The management is so out of touch with the field its unbearable. With all of that being said, BBC is about 5 years behind on salary and cost of living increases. For what they expect, they're definitely not willing to compensate you for it. If you voice your concerns, expect some form of backlash.

      Pros

      The NW Division has a positive focus on employee health and wellness. The new Seattle office has locker room, showers, and regular yoga sessions. The local office has made a big push for digital technology and innovation in the last 2 years, which is light years ahead of where it was before.

      Cons

      I experienced very little transparency for promotions and salary. The level of one-on-one coaching and support depends on the manager. Overall environment felt internally competitive and perfectionist, so it was difficult to feel comfortable with my individuality or with making mistakes, particularly when facing a challenging project or project team dynamic. Work load was brutal at times and not well-balanced.

      Pros

      - Great focus on safety - Good benefits, especially health package - Good comradery in project teams.

      Cons

      - Projects under staffed or wrongly staffed. - Training only occurs once a year, needs to be more frequent - Feels like an island working on projects with little involvement from leadership. This could be a pro to some. - Taking on projects without the talent or support to run them - Lots of turnover - Processes and procedures surprising weak for such a large a company.
