Occasional holiday parties/ luncheons and Overtime always available.

Cons

The only way to succeed at Bay Alarm is if you suck up to management, get on their good side and become "favored". Too much work given and little pay. Managers and supervisors do little work, would not even take a customer complaint phone call. Would spend most of the time browsing the internet or chatting with other managers/supervisors. Micro-managed every move you made, even how many times you went to the bathroom. If you were 1 second late, you would not make bonus for the month.

Pros

- employee retention rate very high. Some people have been with company as many as 40 years - mostly really friendly welcoming people - each branch and the corporate office has events throughout the year for teambuilding - employee discounts on alarm services - profit-sharing - a lot of diversity, but not in management positions - business is expanding, and for good reason. Great alarm service, amazing customer service. - competitive pay for technical employees

Cons

- the very few people who aren't pleasant to work with are extremely unpleasant to work with - minimal time off and sick days, and they have to be accrued - no competitive pay for non-technical employees - although a lot of people stay with the company for decades, many other people just come for the paycheck - the family who owns the company is 90% great, but a couple are unpleasant and condescending

- Extremely strict environment (under a microscope) - Management chastises employees over mistakes, even ones that are made for the first time - Management values customers over employees (it's all about the money)
