I worked at Boots St Helens Merseyside between November 2017 and January 2018 and I had a really good time there. The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful., including the Manager. I received a present on leaving and it was quite emotional. I can honestly say I enjoyed every minute. They all supported me with regards to my application for my current role with public services. I would definitely recommend working at Boots, St Helens ! One of the members of staff had been there for over 20 years and was still eager, loyal and really nice !

Pros

SOME middle management Better pay for dispensers than most places. Discount card and double discount days. Although it's only a matter of time until they also get taken away.

Cons

Since the takeover by Walgreens there is absolutely no regard for staff. We are but a number in a vast amount of people working theirselves to the ground for no appreciation and not even a twinkle of a bonus. The pharmacy side of things is riddled with dodgy deals to exploit the NHS to the full and it's adapted job roles to give more people a wider skill set so they can pay them less to take more on.
