Pros

Friday lunches Beer on tap Cool workspace Work/life balance Christmas party

Cons

Poor communication between "managers" and devs Managers are just the most tenured people in the company, which means they don't necessarily have management experience No work from home policy 401k takes one year to vest Old tech stack - vb.net/webforms, no Entity Framework

Pros

Promising growth in an untapped market. Nice new headquarters, convenient location. A lot of young employees, competitive

Cons

Only certain people are setup for success, and its usually those who are in the 'in crowd'. Favoritism among departments and those are the ones who get promoted or recognized. Leaders take culture improvements as offensive to the culture they have built. It is a fun place with a bar, pool tables, etc. but is behind other companies in the industry and area in regards to benefits. Many employees use desktops, there are always phone problems, no sick days, terrible health insurance.

Decent place to start

Pros

This is a decent place to start your career if you are a young person/new college graduate. It’s a pretty up-beat place with a lot of cool, highly-motivated people, free beer on tap Thursdays and Fridays, very good meals from Company Kitchen, ping pong tables, putting greens, and relaxed dress.

Cons

This place suffers heavily from “bro culture.” As such, it can get pretty cliquey and people tend to play favorites quite a bit while excluding others. If you’re not an ex frat-bro, or are otherwise a person looking to establish a real career with a real company, this place may not be for you. The pay for BDR’s is laughably pathetic. During the hiring process they entice young, naive people into the role by telling them they can make a lot of money, while in reality it’s really only the top 3-5 BDR’s out of 200 on the floor making any real money while the rest are virtually destitute. Their benefits are a joke, 15 days max PTO which is ACCRUED—meaning it takes a very long time before one has any considerable amount of time off. No sick time. No work from home. Insurance is expensive and the coverage is meh. While it can be a fun place to work, the company culture is heavily predicated upon their “#1 best place to work in Omaha” which is an award that can be easily bought. Being that the company is full of young people who have not often otherwise worked elsewhere, the place sadly becomes an echo chamber for naive youngsters that don’t know any better proudly proclaiming to be the best while vehemently ignoring its faults. It’s almost cult-like sometimes.
