Pros
Guaranteed hours, picnic and holiday party, OT is often available, good health insurance plans. I really can't think of anything else.
Cons
The pay is less than any other company in the field will pay. There is a lot of favoritism, rule were only enforced when managers on shift were in a bad mood; even then, a select few were still allowed to break rules while others got written up. There are often too many distractions such as managers yelling or singing behind you while you're trying to dispatch, managers and supervisors trying to talk to you while you're on the phone handling an alarm, or managers standing around you loudly talking to coworkers about sports while you're trying to do your job. Sometimes you have to wait over an hour to use the bathroom because the line is so long and some managers would rather you wait than send more than one person out of the room at a time. No absences are excused, not even with doctors notes which is ridiculous when there are employees who have health problems. There is no job security. If they feel like it, they will find any reason possible to fire you.
