Great Vision, Poor Execution

Pros

ClearCapital has energetic and focused Leaders. Duane and Kevin have an amazing vision and are truly focused on leading their company into the future. Pay (for me) was really good. I was overwhelmed at the bay area rates this close to Reno. I've seen a good number of people get promotions and drive their own career paths within the company.

Cons

Technology VPs have no idea whats going. Direction and Vision in the technology group is not shared with staff. The tech group is very fragmented and often pitted against each other. Benefits, I've read other posts about Benefits at ClearCapital; Honestly they are a joke. - Obama-Care offers the similar medical coverages, for about the same rates. - Merit review/increases for a *top* employee were garbage (less than 3%) - Vacation days barely exist. - No profit sharing. - After working until 8am-3am, they expect you on site at 8am to start the day.

Pros

great work peers and work family, very casual, great coffee supply.

Cons

poor training, poor communication, leads are not all on the same page and all have different answers and time management is not good, never enough time in the day to get answers to your questions. asking questions and getting short answers.

Pros

Super friendly, smart, hard-working professionals. Good benefits, awesome work/life balance in an epic setting called Lake Tahoe. As a career-minded professional, you have the opportunity to not only maintain but enhance and grow your career if you are willing to put forth the effort.

Cons

Clear Capital has often had to staff up quickly in Truckee and unfortunately, many entry-level hires have never worked in a corporate environment and don't know the meaning of work. I see a lack of gratitude and a sense of entitlement all too often in employees that either under perform or have no work ethic. Clear Capital will need to do a better job of hiring quality vs. quantity and weed out those folks that would rather operate a ski lift.
