You really can make you own hours. Sales meetings are informative. The owner is really knowledgeable, approachable and hardworking.

Cons

Lots of driving for sales positions.

This is not correct. We have a network of closet designers that earn three-figure incomes. They also dictate what hours they work and love helping people become organized. It's unfortunate that you have this idea and may have needed to give it more time.

Pros

If you have an entreprenurial spirit and love working in a creative field, this is a great job. I previously worked at another closet company and Closet Factory is far superior. Their product is more custom than most other companies, increasing the chances that you can offer a solution that will meet your client's needs. The flexible schedule is great and I feel I make a good salary for the flexibility that I have.

Cons

The pay is 100% commission, which can result in unpredictable paychecks. You don't get paid on a job until the installation is complete, so it is frustrating when payment is delayed due to shop or installer errors. An excellent installation team is important if you want repeat and referral business, which can be frustrating since this factor is outside of your control. Although the compensation is good for the amount of flexibility I enjoy, I know I could make more in another field. But I really enjoy my job!
