Pros

Having worked in this toxic and noxious work environment I can find nothing to say that would be positive in the least. Probably the most positive thing that can be said is that it is a great relief to no longer be working for this Company

Cons

The President of this franchise is a micro managing megalomaniac who has a god complex. He treats everyone the same, both customers and employees, that being he curses, swears and belittles everybody. I have never met a person who is prone to throw things around the office and shop, break things while having a hissey fit and who tells everyone that that surrounds him that they are are "stupid worthless pieces of sh*t"! This is no exaggeration, in fact this is an understatement.

Pros

The great thing about working at the Closet Factory is you work when you want to, you make your own scheduled. You work as hard as you want... and get paid for the work you do! It's a family business and once you are in the business you become apart of the family.

Cons

This job is not for everyone. It takes hard work, but once everything clicks its more fun than work.

Pros

Challenging fabrication problems. Work in shop and in customer homes. Despite the Cons (below), it is fun to correct a design, create/cut the material and finally install it in someone's home.

Cons

Most challenges and problems are self generated/in-house. Employee's standards are higher than the proprietor's. Felt like management was always trying to sneak something past us so we had to be hyper vigilant to keep us out of trouble. Low contract integrity with customers. Rampant discounts to massage poor material management and poor scheduling (reduced margins and poor cash flow). No capital improvement. Poorly maintained work space (-$). A zero growth company.

I am struggling to picture what franchise location you are referring to. You've worked for them since 2012 so you must like working there. You may email me and confidentially share the location and the issues you observe so that we can assist the owner if they are in need. My email is paris.bernhardt@closetfactory.com Thanks, Paris
