Pros

I was happy with pay and benefits and first, but everything has steadily gone downhill over two years.

Cons

I’ve worked here over 2 years, and we’ve been short staffed the entire time. Comcast simply pretends we’re not in a labor crisis, and we regularly have rejected job offers because we’re the lowest paying in the industry. We don’t attract qualified candidates, and we don’t retain the more experienced employees that are needed to train new hires. On top of this labor crisis, Comcast just mandated that you are not allowed to WFH for ANY reason Tues-Thurs, so if you’re not in-office then it has to be PTO. This is such a slap in the face as most employees were unhappy with the office situation in the first place. There are also an incredible amount of fully remote employees on the same teams as those who are forced to be hybrid, so this decision is arbitrary and unfair. Now if I have a cold or an injury, but am otherwise capable of WFH, I have to not work and take PTO which is obviously limited. This also means people who are sick will come into the office because they don’t want to use PTO. This is absolutely backwards IMO, and I am now job hunting.

Pros

Good health insurance (even though they take so much out of your check for it)

Cons

There are a lot. I was hired as a permanent WFH employee and it has been the most constricting WFH experience ever. They don't send you a laptop, they give you just 2 desktop computers and a bunch of wires. The setup is truly terrible. And i have been a WFH employee at a previous jobs and this is truly the worse set up I have seen. The pay is very low for what is expected of you and being constantly monitors, its almost as if they treat you like its a high paying job. Everything you do is monitored so if you like that kind of job this is for you. The interview process is very extra. I did 3 interviews all of which i was asked the same questions by different people. On several occasions i had to track down the payroll supervisor because my check was short and missing hours. The job is very sales driven. My trainer was terrible he didnt answer people’s questions and none of us knew what they were doing when we started taking calls. I quit before i even reached 90 days and so did another person in my class. I do not like the company culture, not my cup of tea or type of people.

Pros

There used to be many pros, but they are quickly disappearing. Spotlight was a great to work only a couple of years ago, but the changes have been fast and harsh.

Cons

Management in general has grown extremely arrogant, with a few exceptions. Most managers do not care about employees. It has become a terrible place to work, especially since last years' reorganization. Sales support has all but disappeared. The remaining people in sales support are overworked and surly. Sales must do more to accomplish their goals than ever, and with less help than ever. The demands for more reports never stop, and are useless. It's not a situation that can continue as it is. Comcast Spotlight will use you up and spit you out without a second thought.
