A Disaster

Pros

It's honestly hard to come up with any pros. Fun events when they are actually a profitable company. A few great employees and agents.

Cons

The company is such a mess. Absolutely no structure or organization. Higher ups get paid major money and expect those with less presumptuous jobs to do more work outside of their roles without any form of compensation. Three rounds of layoffs in the year and a half I worked there. All benefits taken away within one year. Expected to work without bonuses (promised upon hire), raises or promotions indefinitely. After my two weeks was given, I received a TEXT not to come back. So rude and unprofessional. I was also told I need a mirror put at my desk to practice smiling.

Pros

- Generally good hiring, team members are helpful and collaborative - Flexible hours/PTO - Marketing & branding has the wow factor today's buyers/sellers are looking for - Some growth opportunities (if you look for them) - Company culture is still generally positive and resonates with most employees/clients

Cons

- Inadequate salaries/compensation for employees, with benefits very quickly disappearing or paused indefinitely - High employee turnover rates with slow or no backfill for the position - Training is not standardized and knowledge gaps vary from employee to employee - Managers do not implement and/or do not follow through on PIPs for employees who are not meeting minimum role requirements - Disconnect between upper management and employees on role expectations and client services, with changes being implemented with minimal notice or adjustment period - Disconnect between employees and Compass clients (the real estate agents) on employee roles and responsibilities, as well as expectations on what employees should/should not be doing for the client

Pros

Some strong people were there.

Cons

Management is a complete farce. They don’t know what they are doing and manage by throwing everything against the wall and see what sticks.
