Pros

Depending on the project, can gain a lot of experience, however must be a self-sufficient employee to do so. CEO and upper management are some of the best out there, super smart people who mean well and want the best, however a lot of it gets lost in mid-level management.

Cons

Long hours (6-4/5) for not the best pay ($70k-$85k). Not a lot of mentorship, there’s trainings, but mostly just a sink or swim/throw you to the wolves attitude on jobs. Usually everyone’s so stressed they don’t have time to train you. Pretty toxic at times in job trailers with PMs thinking they know everything barking orders. Field crews usually solid people who are very skilled at what they do/provide the most insight and you actually learn the most from them. Some of the supers are great, a lot of good ones left for more money.

Pros

The people majority of people who work there are incredible. Very down to earth, and work incredibly hard. The CEO, Anthony Consigli, has made a name for himself in the industry through strategic growth plans and is very personable. There is focus on training and employee engagement, with the latter being almost an overcompensation for how employees are treated during the work week.

Cons

The company sells itself on having strong values, derived from their family roots and strong work ethic. As an employee at Consigli, expect to work long hours and weekends (like most GC companies), with little recognition. Working at Consigli feels like going to high school in a small town- everyone knows your business and, unless you fit into the "boys club", you will never experience career growth as you "don't fit the mold". I actually didn't mind the work I was doing, and loved the people on my team while employed at the company. However, what led to my decision to leave about two years ago was seeing how poorly people were treated by their manager and executive team, as well as their disregard to policy. For those not in the CM field- the HR team seemed to exist purely for event planning, Marketing was underpaid for the work they had to do, IT was somewhat efficient unless you were at a job site, and Accounting was about as expected at a GC company, just understaffed.

Pros

Great people to work with that has a depth of expertise, while working on great projects from historical renovations to new school buildings for our local youth to learn in. Doesn't micromanage, puts your success and the companies success in your hands, you must take accountability but have the support of your peers when needed

Cons

The growth we are experiencing can stretch some of the employees thin, added challenges
