awful company and workplace

Pros

Work is not overly difficult. decent pay. Flexible schedule. Nice people below management

Cons

This company is a complete abomination. My co-workers are great people but management and the toxic environment will keep you in a dark place and leave you regretful about your life. 1. They moved the company office from a nice, professional setting in German Village to a former Big Bear grocery store in Hilliard. Traffic in the area is among the worst in the county. This featureless dump of a building has no windows, is always freezing, and is too big for the company. About half of the enormous office floor is a huge empty space. 2. No structure whatsoever. Good luck getting any help from management. They always try to pass the buck onto somebody else. None of them take responsibility for technical issues or other delays. 3. Most of the managers are two-faced and calculating. Awful, unpleasant people. In one instance, a particular manager with awful body odor mocked a customer service rep over her religious beliefs. 4. We had a decent health, dental and vision plan that the company dumped to save money. Now they don't even offer dental or visual coverage. 5. They hire everyone and their mother. There are at least three different people who I spot every day muttering to themselves like escaped mental patients. Other people have been hired with outstanding arrest warrants. 6. Nothing ever works. For a tech company, it seems like we have nothing but technical issues at this place. 7. The company's future doesn't look too bright. They fired their top sales associate, the one who essentially made them a business, and now they're scrambling to add clients. I have no idea how this company will stay in business for the next five years.

Evolving Contact Center

Pros

The people I work with come from different backgrounds and all bring unique talent to the company. Management really cares, we have had cookouts, and ice bucket challenges, and other different things to keep it from the same old same old. The facility is mapped out like a call center should be, Managers don't sit behind office doors, they are out and engage their people! They built experiance rooms so that you can touch, feel and interact with what you are taking calls for

Cons

Pay rate is lower than industry standard throughout the company.

Pros

-Plenty of nice people working below management level. -The follies of working for ContactUs can be entertaining and make for hilarious conversation. Sadly, it also gives the employees something for which to commiserate

Cons

-Company hires anybody. Their goal for a workforce is quantity over quality, therefore the turnover rate is extremely high, quality assurance ratings are poor and many of the employees are disrespectful and unqualified. -Management operates with Machiavellian tendencies. They are just as likely to fire employees for the slightest infraction as they are to keep unstable employees beyond their worth. Tension is rife within the building. Nobody knows their own standing. Everyone works with a proverbial Sword of Damocles hanging over them. One lady who works in upper-level management tried to have an employee fired simply because she sought a promotion within the company. Adversarial work environment. -Poor location. Building is constantly freezing. It is common to find salaried employees and high-level management pass by their subordinates, who are often bundled in blankets and jackets even during summer, and poke fun at them for freezing at work. The building has no windows and sits in an area of heavy traffic. -Weak benefits. Company health insurance is expensive. $85 per paycheck for a policy with a $2000 deductible -Few opportunities for advancement. Those who do advance tend to be released by the company within the months following their promotion. -Requirements for earning a pay raise are not defined. Some departments do not offer raises.
