Pros

Opportunity to promote and develop yourself as a leader. Working in a challenging environment. Great diversity throughout the workplace. Many locations to work from.

Cons

Often understaffed, requiring additional hours to be worked. Benefits are mediocre. Many locations pay a standard rate regardless of performance. Bonuses are not significant below a department head or executive position.

Pros

CCA is generally a good government contractor with good intentions and decent pay.

Cons

As large businesses owned by stockholders often due, they sometimes let the priorities of profit obscure the best interests of their employees. We've seen this numerous times with little or no raises, with healthcare increases, and with the big layoff in late 2016. Add to that the fact that they are always in the news for bad things. Many of these are not fairly reported, but nonetheless, it causes outsiders to distrust and dislike the company.

Thank you for your feedback. The layoff in 2016 only affected our Corporate staff and was a move driven by the need to correct support staff headcount to operational headcount. the layoff was less than 10% of corporate staff. We appreciate your clarification of news media misrepresentation that deliberately sensationalizes incidents.
