Pros

Pretty good benefits package and some of your coworkers are good down-to-earth people.

Cons

The culture and overall vibe of this company has completely gone in the toilet over the past year. Not sure if it is the new upper management, covid policies, culture of fear, or a combination of it all that has flipped this once great place to work into a nightmare. The lame attempts to improve morale and culture has been mediocre at best. Upper management and CEO are in an echo chamber and have no regard for the little guy anymore which is what I used to love about this company. Everyone mattered. I guess that is what you get when a company grows this fast.

Thanks for the feedback. No one has ever lost their job for speaking their mind and suggesting better ways of doing things here. We'd love to hear your ideas of how we can improve. We have quarterly alignment meetings and it would be great to capture some of your good ideas there and see if we can improve.

Okay for some roles

Pros

Good salary and decent benefits. Hybrid work model allows you to work from home 2 days/week. Would give 5 stars for my co-workers. The people you'll work with at Corporate Tools and Two Barrels in Spokane are for the most part great people.

Cons

I personally wouldn't recommend applying here unless your applying for a customer service or corporate filer role. Based on the reviews here, folks in these capacities seem to greatly enjoy working here. If you're applying for an accounting, finance, management, or analytics role, don't expect to be working for your typical accounting department. Nothing is as you would expect it to be for a company of this size. Don't expect any software products that are standard in 99% of companies. Some days I find it hard to believe we've been in business this long. In less than three years, this company has grown from 100+ employees to over 500. If this sounds insane to you, let me tell you that it is. Often we'll hire for roles without a clear understanding of what these people will do for the company. Sometimes we hire for positions against the explicit recommendations of the team that management is hiring for. The rationale behind this? Surely someone with a big title - a Chief Master of Masters of Technology & Finance Officer (we like to make up titles as we go along) - will come in and fix all our problems. Investing in technology solutions instead of hiring heads isn't even an option management would sincerely consider at this place. Recent covid policy changes and the vaccine mandate have lead to layoffs and haven't changed Corporate Tools for the better. Employee morale has taken a hit as a result.

Please don't sell us short. I think we're easily over 600 employees. We do strive to do things differently. We invest in people instead of hoping other companies software will fix our problems. We'd much rather hire more people and give them the room to grow, make cool things, and drive the company versus buying software that every other company uses that is just a bandaide instead of working on and fixing the core problems that make you a better company.

Chaotic place to work, culture of fear

Pros

Good paycheck, drink and snack area

Cons

A paycheck isn't everything. Not worth all the headaches and business stupidity you're dealing with on a daily basis. Priorities and projects change on the daily. Your day will be spent rushing half-thought through, buggy products through the door and dealing with the fallout. The business owner should take a few management classes and learn how to tolerate and appreciate different points of view.

If you're not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too late. The world is changing faster than ever, and we move fast. What worked last month doesn't work the next month in today's covid world, so the only real thing we can count on in 2022 is change. I'm sorry that the job gives you headaches. That's no fun and hopefully when you find a new job it is more calming for you and stress free. That's how working somewhere should be. No one at this company has ever been fired for speaking up or disagreeing with a boss. You clearly haven't spent much time working here or talking to people in those higher paid positions you talk about. We highly value different opinions. Almost every change that happens is met with incredible resistance because people can speak their mind and have different thoughts about how to solve problems best. At each level of the organization, each person in leadership has to take various opinions of the people they are in charge of and make the call that they think blends what's important to the people they manage. Just because you disagree with your superior, doesn't mean that your boss is a yes-men. It just means that they listened to you, and disagreed with you.
