Pros

Work/life balance and flexibility is top notch for a working parent with active children. Coming from a Fortune 500 company where everyone walked around like robots on never-ending deadlines, its refreshing to be a part of company that cultivates itself not only on working hard, but playing hard. The constant reminders that we are appreciated are invaluable and make you want to work even harder. Not even 60 days in, had an unpredictable family emergency, HR stepped in and went beyond my expectations and saved the day- couldn't ask for anything more! No micro-managing and management (on every level) is always available to help or answer questions and are VERY approachable.

Cons

Other than Buckhead traffic, which is beyond Cortland's control, I am a happy camper.

I work as a maintenance tech for 1700 units and they didn't offer golf carts had to drive my owe personal car to each job and use my owe gas

We consider all options when making the best decision for the approximate 100 communities and their teams. Due to minimal storage and security, most of our sites have a limited number of service golf carts and do not have one for every service associate. During onboarding, the service associate is told that if they use their own vehicle that they will be reimbursed for their documented mileage on site. This is a common policy in our industry.
