Pros

Great benefits and wellness programs.

Cons

Be prepared to work in an environment where recognition is scarce and reprimand is often. In an industry where good performance is reliant and effected by so many different external forces, (truck drivers, warehouse personnel, traffic delays, weather etc..) it's very difficult to show your value to the company when so much is out of your control. So just being a hard worker won't get you ahead in that department. Politics will play a HUGE role in how far you can make it. Crowley as a company is fantastic but stay away from logistics unless you're coming into a managerial role. Otherwise, you could be stuck in the same position for years to come.

Thank you for sharing this important feedback with us. We take pride in all of the great benefits we are able to offer our employees and encourage all team members to utilize them to their fullest extent. We're glad to hear that you appreciated the benefits and wellness programs available to you. Having worked for the company for more than five years, you are likely aware that one of our core company values focuses on Integrity, meaning that our employees are encouraged to treat others the way they would want to be treated – with honesty, fairness, dignity and respect – and the company always strives to do the right thing. That being said, we're sorry to hear that you felt under-valued and under-appreciated in your role. It's very important to us that all employees feel appreciated for the good work that they do. We hope that before your final day, you brought these concerns up to your direct supervisor and/or a member of the human resources team and had the opportunity to discuss the details of your individual situation. We strive to keep an open-door policy between employees - from the open-work spaces to regular reviews, to encouraging one-on-ones and more. Please know that we take your comments seriously and are reviewing them internally through the proper channels. At Crowley, employee success is important to us. We thank you for your years of service and appreciate the feedback so we may continue to improve our great company.

Pros

Benefits are good if you don’t have dependents

Cons

If you are applying to work on the 5th Floor (Land Transportation) I would advise against it. There is little to no room for growth as there are only a handful of 35 year olds and below who obtain any significant promotions. They are somewhat of a clique to be honest. They hire management from the outside even though they honestly have no idea how to run the departments they are over. It’s quite comical. If you are a young professional I would advise against joining Crowley Logistics unless you are doing it for the experience and then plan on leaving. You will not get promoted here. There are seriously people here who have had the same role for 10 years. Best of luck to those that do. Cheers!

Thank you for sharing this important feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that you feel our benefits program is unsatisfactory for covering dependents. At Crowley, we work very hard to ensure that our benefits package is comparable and even exceeds the industry standard. We offer a voluntary wellness program that allows participants to offset some of the cost of insuring dependents. If you were unaware of this opportunity, please stop by human resources, they'd be glad to share all necessary information with you so you can take advantage. We're sorry to hear that you believe there are no growth opportunities for young professionals at Crowley. It's very important to us that all employees feel appreciated for the good work that they do and are rewarded accordingly. As a current employee, we hope that you will address this topic with your direct supervisor, a member of the human resources team or a trusted company leader so the circumstances of your individual situation can be carefully reviewed. We thank you for your years of service and appreciate the feedback so we may continue to improve our great company.

Terrible Company to work for

Pros

If you have no experience this may be a good starting place. If you have no experience you will fit right in.

Cons

Tom Crowley cries like a child at company meetings, probably from the state of the company he has ruined and the thieves that are in his midst. Nothing like seeing a grown man cry in front of hundreds of people. The CEO has no leadership qualities or skills. A truly weak example of what a CEO is. The old man would be very sad to see what his legacy has become. All projects are doomed to failure as management makes impulsive decisions instead of methodical decisions. This is what you get from not listening to the talented employees that your management team swept away to keep their incompetence hidden.
