Pros

While there were some positive aspects of my time at Crown, such as the opportunity to work with some genuinely supportive colleagues, the overall work environment and management practices left much to be desired.

Cons

- Communication within the company was consistently lacking. Important updates, changes, and expectations were often unclear or not communicated at all. This led to confusion and frustration among the employees - Employees frequently felt unsupported by management. Concerns and issues raised by staff were often dismissed or ignored, leading to a sense of helplessness. Especially while the branch was constantly short staffed and over worked- there was a total disregard for staffs time and well being. - Crown had inconsistent and ever-changing policies, which made it difficult to understand and follow the rules. This inconsistency caused unnecessary stress and confusion. Additionally, their systems are dated. You work harder- not smarter. - The high turnover rate during my time at Crown was indicative of the overall dissatisfaction among the staff. - Unprofessional Conduct and Problematic behavior: I witnessed a lot of berating and disrespectful encounters. Luckily, I was never a part of it but it is honestly so sad to see such open unprofessional and disrespectful behavior in a workplace while management sometimes joined in or just turned their back. What was mind boggling is that most offensive behavior I have witnessed was all from UPPER MANAGEMENT. Upper Management at this branch is for lack of a better word, a joke. I have PERSONALLY witnessed them OPENLY bad mouth long term employees (over 25 years) who left the company either for retirement or for better opportunities. The way they talk to and treat their existing staff is no better. They put all of the branches failures on the staff without realizing that they are in charge. They should be pointing the finger at the mirror. - and last but certainly not least... I should highlight the issue of limited career opportunities. If you wanted to climb the ladder here, there is ZERO structure or guidance on how to succeed. It seems like its all based on favoritism anyway.

Pros

Benefits package, mileage reimbursement, paid holidays, vacation time

Cons

Big Brother attitude, overly micro management, passive aggressive environment, lack of clear direction with mid level management, nepotism, poor career growth, non transparency of commission rules and being paid, constant issues with getting your full commission, feels like a puppy mill if you're a mid level sales professional

Pros

Always something to do, and never bored. Enjoyed the technicians helpful attentiveness.

Cons

If GOOD OLE'BOY NETWORK ever applied anywhere in this world, it is with this company. I was told that there is really no place in Crown for a woman, and I was told that by more than one manager. The company hires very few minorities where I worked,, and the only women I ever met were admins. I met a couple of rental coordinators. One told me she applied for a manager's position and was more qualified than her male counterparts, and she was NOT hired. I met one technician that was female, and NEVER a manager that was female. This company does not make any concessions for females, and offers no training to promote women in the least. I was told I would need to move to New Bremen, OH if I wanted to do anything other than an admin position. On top of all of that, I was sexually harassed for my entire stay at this company by a manager. It was common knowledge that it was going on, and nothing was ever done, until a brand new manager came on board and went to HR. If you are female, stay away from this company.
