Pros

Friendly staff and open door policy; Great benefits for every employee, even part timers. Fun activities provided by company. Great training and development programs for various positions. You will gain knowledge and skills about financial institutions and operation. Very fast paced at times. Local credit union with a traditional organizational structure. Good job to have. Co-Workers are good motivators. Good one on one sales training sessions when needed or struggling.

Cons

Sales is core focus of member facing positions; Sales training without extensive product knowledge training; At Will Employer; Very Traditional Modest Dress Code & Corporate Culture; Seems like opportunity for growth however, opportunities are sometimes discouraged.

Pros

Pay Safe Environment Friendly Colleges (Not Management) Building personal relationships with members

Cons

Management doesn't care about you moving up within the company If you're part-time you work every Saturday. When you request a Saturday off you get threated to not getting approved for another Saturday. Higher management sticks together even when one manager is wrong SALES SALES SALES

Sales Enviroment

Pros

DFCU is very honest and upfront that they are a sales company, if you can meet and/or exceed your sales goals you will be rewarded financially and be very happy in your position.

Cons

At times it can feel that sales are more important than the member. You have to try and find a way to make it about helping the membership or you will be miserable asking the same people to move business to you repeatedly.
