Pros

The company has hired some strong executives over the past year plus. Base salary is strong, even for tech. Most people are sharp and capable of awesome work. The Communications team does a lot to keep us all in the loop about what's going on.

Cons

The CEO creates a culture of fear throughout the organization. Employees spend time on CYA instead of getting to do the work they are capable of. CEO publicly calls people out on calls. Its hard to take any time off. Teams are short-staffed, but the work doesn't slow down ever. My manager warned me that the CEO monitors vacation time and that I should never take more than 7 days off in a row. I was also expected to be online, even on stat holidays unless I arranged to take vacation time. No bonus and worthless token offerings. Total pay does not stack up to competitors. There is very little diversity within the organization. My interviewers talked about it a lot but it didn't seem to show up day-to-day. Money is spent irresponsibly. Why pour so much money into partnerships and then not do anything with them? Why so many offsites? Executives are there one day and disappear the next. It seems like anyone who disagrees with the CEO gets let go. Same goes for people he doesn't like. Everyone jokes-but-not-really that they could get let go at any time.

A mess and a lack of leadership

Pros

Benefits are great and the salary is competitive. People & Culture team does an amazing job at bringing a sense of humanity to the organization.

Cons

No roadmaps, no direction or support or even BUY-IN for sub-companies within Dapper. They do not understand how to leverage the smart teams they have. Their priorities are unknown. A lot of ghosting from upper management instead of rolling up sleeves and figuring out solutions and paths forward.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We believe people are our greatest asset, so it’s always been important to provide our team members with competitive benefits and compensation packages. We’re also glad to hear that you have a positive experience with our People & Culture team. They work diligently and with great care to support our teams and team members, so thank you for recognizing their work and impact. Given the current macroeconomic environment, we recognize that our roadmap and company strategy has changed and will continue to change as we adapt to the challenging environment our industry finds itself in at the moment. However, as leaders, we have great confidence in this burgeoning industry, and we are continuously working on setting and communicating clear expectations and providing as much support as possible as we navigate these waters. As Ownership is one of our core values, we always aim to provide trust and transparency. These are ongoing processes and something we are continuously learning from.
