Steepest drop and decline in “Culture” I’ve seen in a long time.

Pros

All of my coworkers, and current management.

Cons

Salary: Currently paid WELL below market value for the position I am in & have brought this up MULTIPLE times to upper management with no movement, or even acknowledgement for over a year till I had to personally reach out to HR for a response. New employees hired on to double what veteran existing employees make. Spouse had to pick up a second full time job to compensate and make ends meet. New CEO & Leadership Direction: As opposed to continuing what worked in this past year, in which we made the most money we ever have, we had changes made that have been laughably questionable at best that have not given us the ability to maintain that level of success & then on top of that, our department have shouldered most of the blame for the lack of success. We were extremely Work-From-Home friendly, and have completely abandoned that with more and more required days and times in office, which has put a strain on my family specifically where my spouse as I said earlier had to pick up another full time job. Culture: As the title states, I have not seen such a steep, quick decline in morale and culture in a long time when new leadership has come in. It’s been made abundantly clear decision after decision that we are just “workers” and nothing more. If that isn’t the case, it certainly is how it feels and I am not alone in that.

Dear current DigiCert employees, Thank you for taking the time to provide a very open review of DigiCert. We hope that the overall thoughts on your four years at DigiCert are positive. But we acknowledge that you shared more negative than positive feedback, including your thoughts on a sharp decline in culture and wage disparities. Please know that we take this feedback very seriously. We work very hard on a CARE Culture, and we invite all feedback that will help us address any areas that can strengthen the culture and every employee’s experience and work. We ask that you reach out to a member of the DigiCert People Team and share more insights that will help us identify growth areas at DigiCert. We are eager to hear from you and to work with you. Pros

NONE. At one time Digicert was a leader in the Internet security world and provided a quality product with best-in-class customer service. They also use to care about the company's employees. None of this is the case anymore. The Private Equity firm that owns Digicert and its Upper management has ruined the company.

Cons

Private Equity and C-Level management only care about maximizing their EBITA. They continue to increase their prices without providing a better product. At this point, the PE and Upper management do not care to provide a quality Managed PKI solution at a fair price. They have a monopoly and think they can do whatever they want. They also pay their tenure employees less and less and ask them to do more and more. If you are thinking about working here don't. They do NOT pay market value and devalue the employees that helped built the company and hold all the skills and knowledge. The longer I was there the less money I made and they asked me to do things that would screw over the customers and I told them no. Terrible company to work for, especially on the sales team.

Dear current DigiCert employee, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and current impressions of the company. We know that, as things transition and we move toward goals and products that will make the company more sustainable and equipped for the future, there has been some discomfort among some staff about direction and change of expectations. We believe the primary goal of your review is awareness of the apprehension some have with these changes, so we invite you to reach out to your leaders to discuss this and share your thoughts. Leaders have been open about the changes and await feedback as we move forward. They want and expect to hear from employees – good feedback and bad feedback – because they want to listen and engage with all who want to be a part of DigiCert moving forward. We invite everyone who wants to be a part of the future direction for the company to speak with leaders and continue to engage in conversations about decision making and how we can all contribute to making DigiCert better. Reach out to the People team to gain insight on compensation and the misunderstandings that seem to persist. We take our CARE Culture seriously, and we look forward to discussing it with you. Pros

Thought about it and nothing comes to mind to include here as a pro.

Cons

To many to name, let's start with transparency and politics. Hands down this is the most political company that I have worked for in the past 25 years of my career. Let me keep it simple, you are either part of Group A or Group B. Group A is what you have as part of product & engineering which reports to a former sales person. Group B is what you have as part of the sales, legal, marketing, and finance which reports to the current CFO. Group A doesn't get along with Group B which means zero productivity, zero transparency but 100% politics. I didn't work with group A so cant comment about their internal issues but I can tell you since we have been without a CEO; group B has been nothing short of a circus. No one communicates about what the strategy is and all they care about is keeping the quotes rolling as long as possible at any cost. And when you speak up (if you speak up) retaliation will be guaranteed. What a relief it has been since I left this mess of an org.

Dear Former Employee, Thanks for taking the time to post. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and lucky to say it’s outside of the norm based on the reviews we have. We note the feedback on the Office of the CEO, but as was communicated: This was an interim measure as we appointed a new CEO. Unfortunately, your experience did not give you a great impression. From our perspective, we continue to deliver great business results, more products and enhancements than we have in the past and are growing our teams continually while our 90-day employee engagement results continue to be in the excellent range. We know we are not perfect, but no company is. We will take your feedback as part of our continuous improvement approach and recognize that sometimes the fit just isn’t right. Regardless, we wish you the best in your next step. DigiCert People Team
