Very satisfying online teaching job

Pros

Before I joined Elevate K-12, I taught in a public school for 7 years. There was a lot of forced long hours and policies that were forced by the administration. At Elevate K-12, I set my own working hours, and I work from home. Also, since each session only has 3 or 4 students in my group, I can focus on each of their needs rather than running after a whole class. I can truly see a difference that Elevate K-12 makes to students in public schools who need that extra attention and care.

Cons

The cancellation and late show policy is a bit strict. But since it’s online, I don’t get late that often. Also, their hiring and training process used to be long and buggy. I hope they’ve improved that.

Nothing elevating about this

Pros

Whoever is writing so many positive reviews is clearly internal and obsessed with making Glassdoor look good. There are not many people in this company, so having so many reviews is clearly "made up". Also, when every review has the term "high growth" or "mission oriented", it's pretty obvious it is a coordinated effort, this should say a lot. Watch these terms stop going forward now.

Cons

Before joining any company, a candidate should reach-out to former employees...do yourself a favor with this one and do just that...you won't regret it.

Pros

At Elevate K-12, amazing leadership and teamwork has created a culture that inspires. It's a place where everyone is respected for their contribution and ethics lead the way. Collaboration between colleagues is the norm, and a desire to constantly learn and grow is behind every action. I'm grateful to be a part of the Elevate K-12 family.

Cons

Being a member of Elevate requires constant adaptability. Things move at break-neck speeds, work hours are long which might not be for everyone.
