We are glad you were able to appreciate the flexibility and ability to teach on your terms while at Elevate! We acknowledge that tech issues with the teaching platform are possible and can vary on a wide variety of factors, including things that are sometimes out of our control. However, we feel that the support we offer effectively meets the needs of our teachers; tech support is generally praised by teachers themselves in our surveys as one of the highest areas of satisfaction. We take your comments about dishonesty seriously and encourage you to reach out to us if you have specific examples to share, as we are committed to maintaining integrity in our operations and strive to prioritize both teachers and the students we serve.

Pros

Lots of good people caught up in a bad situation

Cons

The company wants to be a high growth startup. It hired like a high growth startup. It got a fancy downtown office like a high growth startup. It it’s not a high growth startup. Instead of facing that reality, leadership gaslights the hell out of its employees, then whiplashes them, then blames them, then ultimately fires them to stay afloat.

We appreciate you recognizing the quality of the people at Elevate K-12, and we’re sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your experience. Elevate K-12 operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and like many organizations in similar situations, we’ve had to make difficult decisions to adapt to changes. These decisions are not made lightly and are always guided by the need to ensure the long-term health of the company and our mission. Our leaders have prioritized clear communication and our values, even during periods of transition, and we will continue to focus on how me maintain our commitment to serving students, teachers, and schools.

Pros

This was a good job to have being desperate to leave the brick-and-mortar classroom while searching for a new career. On par with what you make as a teacher, a little less, $20/hr.

Cons

I had to go back and forth a lot with HR to get my correct payment.
