Pros

Honestly, it's challenging to find anything positive to say about Elevate K-12. The majority of the 5-star ratings here are misleading; they were solicited under pressure. Under the previous CEO, employees were either encouraged or outright asked to post artificially positive reviews to boost the company's Glassdoor profile. This tactic reflects the company's focus on managing appearances rather than genuinely addressing employee concerns or fostering a healthy work environment.

Cons

I used to believe in Elevate K-12's mission, but recent changes in leadership and the way employees are treated have completely shattered that trust. The new CEO is driven by greed, and his decisions are taking the company in a direction that shows zero respect for its employees or core values. Instead of valuing the hardworking people who built this organization, the CEO has prioritized cost-cutting and bonuses for top management, even as the company struggled under his poor decisions. Dozens of talented employees were laid off with minimal compensation, forced to sign restrictive separation agreements that barely offered any support. Meanwhile, upper management, responsible for the very failures leading to these layoffs, continue to reward themselves with bonuses. The CEO seems to have a track record of mismanagement — he steps into a well-functioning company and destabilizes it with reckless decisions, like drilling holes in a perfectly good ship. At this rate, Elevate K-12 is heading towards becoming a graveyard for careers, a place where loyalty and hard work are met with betrayal and disrespect. The CEO has made this place a toxic working environment, which was not the case earlier. Leadership at the top is all about personal gain, with little regard for the future of the company or the well-being of its employees.

High Turnover and Unstable Environment

Pros

The primary redeeming quality of Elevate K-12 is the outstanding caliber of coworkers - truly warm, dedicated, and mission-oriented individuals (the majority of them, that is). It is also commendable that Elevate offers a lot of roles and opportunities to transitioning teachers and educators to break into the corporate space. However, even these excellent team members often fall victim to the continuous cycle of layoffs and burnout from constant reorganizations.

Cons

While the company successfully attracts talented and mission-driven individuals, the constant turnover and restructuring, particularly in Sales, creates an unstable and stressful work environment. The leadership team appears to lack a clear direction, resulting in frequent strategic pivots and organizational changes that affect employee morale and job security. I wouldn't recommend this company to any Sales professional due to instability, unachievable performance metrics, lack of leadership direction, lack of investment into proper Sales enablement/marketing resources, and low potential for commission due to many schools that actually need Elevate's services not having the funding to purchase and/or renew such an expensive product. Beyond the constant reorgs and layoffs, it clear that Elevate's leadership made poor business decisions based on the office space alone. A company of this size, caliber, and industry should not be in as ritzy of an office space as the historic Macy's building downtown. With the cost of that office space alone (that mind you, is mostly empty because it is so loosely enforced to come in), they probably could've saved a handful of jobs in the layoffs. It was honestly demoralizing to be in that empty office space knowing that that money could be invested in saving someone's job, investing in enhancing the product, or investing in Sales enablement/marketing that would actually be a return on investment as opposed to a false sense of 'culture' by having that underutilized office space.

Pros

The seniors behave with their junior as a friend and seniors are always ready to help their junior any time

Cons

In recent years it has lost its job security. They have fired employees on spot basis.
