Pros

Good company mission, some great team members.

Cons

Lack of transparency from leadership, who will probably find a way to take this down because that is unfortunately how things run here. The performance review and promotion process is the most arbitrary, asinine thing you will ever experience. Leadership hammers you over the head with company values that they don't uphold themselves. "Ground yourself in the data" is one of these. When they create quotas or set the price of the product, it leaves you wondering if they have ever seen a data point in their lives. The most tenured reps at this company would say all of these things. Do not fall for OTE. 1.5 years, about 45 reps rotating in and out, and I think one person hit new business quota. I would recommend bringing this up in an interview. While you're writing down potential questions, ask yourself if you want to be at a sales org that went through three (3) CROs in a calendar year. If you are looking to grow your career and your earning potential, this would be the absolute last place you should look. To justify the countless operational inefficiencies and workflows, they will tell you that "we're building the plane as it's taking off"...grab a parachute. I have never written a Glassdoor review before, but I felt compelled to because I know how this company operates. You can be sure that they will be cycling through their next batch of reps before you know it. Do not be part of that group ;).

We are sorry that your time at Elevate didn't meet your expectations. Though there are many factual inaccuracies in what you have shared, we also want to acknowledge we are a start-up that is defining a new category. We don't always get everything right, but we are committed to learning from our failures and continuing to build a better company for our employees, customers, teachers and students.

Pros

An incredible mission. “The best of the best” sales leaders and reps. A hyper growth company where opportunities are endless.

Cons

Hyper growth companies are not for everyone. But it was exactly what I wanted and knew what I was signing up for. I am challenged daily to improve my skills, work collaboratively with my team, and embrace a growth mindset to scale. The reward for handling the complexities of this industry and environment has lead to me accomplishing so many of my personal and professional goals. And there’s so much more that we are capable. That exited me each and every day. But, now that you know what’s possible (changing the world and making a lot of money a long the way), let me tell you what’s required. You will not have perfect processes. You will face adversity. You will feel like things are moving a million miles per hour. You will be frustrated. But the upside for making it through these moments are incredibly fulfilling. Since we have been scaling so quickly, what got us from point A to point B will not get us to point C. And we’re in the road to point Z. That means things break, things get analyzed, things get fixed… and then they may break again. But that’s what it takes to be successful in this industry. There’s no exact playbook to success in this industry. For anyone considering joining this company, really reflect on whether or not this type of environment is for you.

Pros

Elevate is a rare opportunity to work for an innovative company - that is mission driven. Do we move fast, absolutely. Can it be jarring to people with little to no corporate experience? 100%. I love that I get to use my passion for education to provide a service to communities that need it the most. I love the pace and the uncapped earning potential. I started in an entry level position and was promoted to an Account Executive role where I earn more than I ever thought I would. Each AE has dedicated SDR/lead gen support. The teacher shortage is real, so there are a lot of potential clients that NEED our support. We have seen tremendous year over year growth, which has attracted great investors to help take us to the next level. The people are incredible and not just on my team.

Cons

-More opportunities for professional development and training -More collaboration opportunities across different departments -Invest in systems that reduce the amount time in data entry, while creating visibility to key areas of the business. This will help with the commission process greatly :)
