Pros

Decent PTO, holiday schedule better than most I've seen, they give off Christmas Eve, New Years eve. Some jobs offer telecommuting option.

Cons

Major layoffs, major resignations due to the trickle down effect of not hiring employees that retire and resign. The workload is impossible, to get the assigned work done by deadlines you would need to put in 24/7 days for several weeks with no new assignments. They have gone to far with the skeletal crew they have left remaining because we are the most experienced, but we have had enough. I thought I'd retire from there. I truly loved my job and was proud to say I worked for this company. So the workload is going to either create health problems, personal problems such as no time for family, or a variety of other issues. There is no extra money, no bonuses for two years, and for the additional 20 hours a week put in because it's salary, yet if you ask if you can sign on early or work late to take a longer lunch so you can go to a parent teacher conference, the first response is when will you make it up? First of all most of us don't take lunch at all, and put in many hours extra on a regular basis, so seriously? I need to make up time for the one time in six months I've taken lunch and may be 30 minutes late when I log in two hours early everyday? The new health insurance is awful, much higher cost, in net work deductibles, huge push to use ACP centers. Some of the other employees are a joke. They stayed friends with those that became managers and it is amazing what they get away with. It will be interesting to see how things will go now that their friends are gone and how long it will take to realize who has a job that barely does a job and who has been the smartest at pretending to be the dumbest to avoid any excess work. No trickle down for them.Let's see how much longer this goes on. I would be very leary of taking a position with this company if you want job security, some people have been here 20+ years and have no job security.

Pros

Location, decent office building with cafeteria and gym. Decent salaries. Allows telecommuting (depending on department) and has decent training options.

Cons

Total bureaucracy, low morale, laid off hundreds of people so they could outsource operations to an India based company. They took away bonuses the last two years. No company party, very few fun appreciation events. This company was decent years ago, now it is a dark and depressing shithole.

Run...fast

Pros

Work from home. The end

Cons

What care feels like... Great company that fell apart once KI became CEO. Thereafter, EH outsourced departments to Manila. Had tenured staff train the new employees from Manila. Tenured staff were the seat warmers until the new employees learned the job. Then layoffs. While tenured staff was busy training, they were offered tales of job security, all the while the plan was to lay them off. Great example of what caring feels like! DOL cited EH as violating labor laws. Those that were laid off were offered “compensation”. Potential new employees run. Fast. The 2.6 rating of employee satisfaction is a red flag. RUN. Potential members and returning members need to run too. The great pains this company has gone through to save money, the disrespect shown to the employees, is truly indicative of the lack of morals that exist here. The average company on Glass Door has their HR team responding to these reviews. This company has the CEO responding, spouting declarations of best practice and support. Doesn’t even address the concerns mentioned. Glosses over them to run her spiel that does not address why people are/were so unhappy here. That should clue you that you need to get into a runners stance. RUN.
