Pros

My department wears jeans and tennis shoes since we have no contact with clients, and they buy us lunch once a month to celebrate birthdays, and dinner if they expect we will stay till 8PM.

Cons

Pay is terrible, management makes you feel like a criminal for taking vacation. Very stressful environment, no chance for upward mobility. Lots of turn over. My particular department sucks during the holidays, everyone else in the company will be out all week, and we'll only have the actual day of the holiday off, and we always work late at least one day a week. Upper management always makes a big deal about how much money the company makes and how much more money they're getting for our Field Employees from our clients, but if you're staff, you're making peanuts and basically chained to your desk. Also, my direct supervisor doesn't really seem to understand what we do and expects way more out of people than they are capable of handling in any given week.

Endless layoffs, no bonuses, and zero work-life balance

Pros

- You’ll gain experience juggling multiple roles (though not by choice). - Exposure to working with global teams.

Cons

Company culture is driven purely by profit, not people. Ongoing mass layoffs for over two years, despite repeated promises from leadership that “this will be the last.” Remaining employees are expected to take on the work of laid-off departments with no additional compensation or recognition. No bonuses for the past three years and minimal salary adjustments, if any. PTO is difficult to actually use—employees are often contacted during their time off, and many are barely able to take it at all. Annual reviews are meaningless. Even if you achieve “Exceeds Expectations” multiple times, it will not translate into a raise or promotion. To make matters worse, HR policy limits managers to giving “Exceeds” to only one person per team, making advancement nearly impossible. The company has no clear direction. Leadership constantly changes course, labeling it as “change” and expecting employees to “adapt.” Projects drag on for years, only to be scrapped at the last minute—like the Bullhorn system migration, which went through years of testing and multiple launch delays before being canceled entirely. Many other initiatives have followed the same wasteful pattern, leaving employees burned out and frustrated. Leadership is disconnected from reality. The CEO, Billy, comes across as arrogant and out of touch. Instead of investing in their current U.S. workforce, the company increasingly shifts work to outsourced teams in North America and India, while cutting American jobs. Promotions or job security are not based on skill or hard work, but on saying “yes” and staying in good favor with leadership. Finally, the company is owned by Apollo, a private equity firm. Expect profit to remain the only priority, with no meaningful improvements for employees.

Pros

There are literally no pros to working with Employbridge.

Cons

-Leadership touts company values like “Win As One” and then proceeds to lay off high performers every month or so. The CEO is extremely guilty of rallying the troops and giving positive messaging, only for management to typically follow it up with something negative. In a place that is culturally bankrupt, all it has is a culture of fear. -No merit increases. No bonuses. Literally no incentive for working hard and making the company profits outside of typical pay, which is probably low. -Absolutely no vision. Say they’re going digital but are taking every step to stay in the Stone Age. If it weren’t so large already it would probably be out of business like Blockbuster. -Inept leadership at multiple levels, fueled by yes men.
