Pros

Most people in the company eat together, it is optional but truly a lot of fun. It fosters a deep connection with your colleagues. The CEO, George, is an all around great guy that comes across as a straight shooter. He keeps a lot of traditionally secret information about the company pretty open for anybody to see, which I think aids morale and makes it easy to trust him. As an engineer I had a great experience at Employee Navigator. There is a great atmosphere and the head of development has a penchant for mentoring so there is a lot of opportunity to learn. There is very little process, which means very few meetings and loose (close to none) adherence to best practices. Few meetings is good because it results in less interruptions. Loose adherence to best practices allows for creative problem solving.

Cons

There is very little process, which means very few meetings and loose (close to none) adherence to best practices. Few meetings is bad because it means that even though people are sitting around the same office, they are poorly communicated. Loose adherence to best practices allows some Jurassic software practices to prevail over technological advances.

Benefits of working at Employee Navigator

Pros

Employee Navigator is truly a unique and wonderful place to work! This is a company that seeks out thought leading, energetic individuals willing to work hard to get the job done. Executive management truly cares about the welfare of the employees. Family is always first, and a job well done is generously rewarded. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of an industry changing SAAS provider!

Cons

The company is growing rapidly, and sometimes that means going the extra mile. I have stayed late many nights when things are really busy. If you are looking for a 9-5 job with an hour for lunch this may not be the place for you.

Pros

Great place to get your foot in the door and learn about a growing industry. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help whenever needed. Online benefit administration is growing quickly, and it's really exciting seeing where the company is headed. Everyone here is dedicated to learning the industry, making our product better, and listening to our clients and what they need to make their lives easier. Outside of the office, the staff enjoys getting together after work to play on our company kickball team!

Cons

With a growing industry comes a lot of change - if you can't adapt quickly, it can be difficult to keep up.
