Pros

The front line staff doing the real work are (or were) all genuinely excited to help people in the tech/healthcare field, unlimited PTO

Cons

Headcount and morale continuously dropped while management continued to push more work upon the remaining staff. When I asked HR, they ballparked 1-2 departures every week. Leadership’s attitude is very much one of “Do not create problems for me” and not “what can we do to allow our people to thrive?” Where there used to be opportunity to advance within your company, they now want to put you in a box - whatever you’re doing now is what they expect you to keep doing, in addition to whatever they demand, while your pay increases will not keep pace with inflation. Their answer to people jumping ship is to outsource your replacements, using foreign visas to hold many of the remaining devs hostage and continue to underpay, resulting in a more fragmented knowledge base and slowing product development to an inept crawl. The goal now is to monopolize all the competing healthcare software products in order to raise prices and gouge healthcare providers. Front line staff will express their grievances during company or department-wide meetings, only for leadership to pay lip service and ask the person to follow up in private, with no intention of actually doing anything. They are beholden to shareholders, and if you belong to the upper echelon of management, you will be treated like an expendable slave. The Support department is a henhouse, sadly there is no room for senior male staff in that team. Basically, these people have the ethics of used-car salesmen who put nothing into the product, other than a paint job, and sell it to honest folks at an insane markup, I don’t know how you sleep at night.

Pros

Remote work and the immediate people at the IC level in product teams are great.

Cons

Leadership has no strategy and has zero understanding of how to build good product. Rebranding of entire portfolio only to reverse it, promises of making it a platform with no roadmap, AI fever with no customer use cases. The results speak for themselves, mass layoffs where the new CEO goes out of his way to insult his current and former employees publicly and in private 1 on 1s. Firing and rehiring for the same lower level roles are common (I've seen 3-4 people taking over the same position in 2 years for multiple roles). There is no safety and security at this company and the board is more interested in "trimming fat" to look good for a buyout rather than building good product. People are actively afraid of saying something wrong to leadership at the risk of their job and rightfully so with their role elimination and culture. The loudest voice in the room often gets the final say. If you are in product, marketing often has the final say over roadmap decision making or "direction" the c-suite gave as the new shiny thing to deliver on regardless of customer research or current priorities. I would not even recommend this company at entry level or a transitional role as it's highly unlikely with layoffs to be safe.

Weak leadership lacking integrity and competency

Pros

5 Words - Would’ve given zero stars if Glassdoor allowed it. Remote Constant Layoffs Remote Constant Layoffs Remote

Cons

Another day of just working for a paycheck. The management is ineffective — several members of the so-called executive leadership team lack both competence and integrity. Many have exaggerated their credentials on social media (for example, LinkedIn) to improve their chances at future roles. Their conduct is often unethical, and they’ve been laying off employees who dare to challenge them — many of the best people have already left. HR is equally disappointing; they still showcase old employee testimonials on social media because no one in the current team has anything positive left to say. It’s truly unfortunate.
