Saddened by negative direction and new leadership

Pros

Some truly wonderful people who go above and beyond work here. They are very kind and gracious, and they care deeply about the industry. I am proud to have worked alongside of them. The unlimited PTO is nice (in theory and if you can actually manage to take it with the work load).

Cons

The company has taken a very negative turn at the beginning of the year. The CEO and original founder (Shegun) suddenly and abruptly “left” and was replaced immediately by a new CEO with no notice. It seemed like the new CEO was recruited by the private equity investors. There were extremely aggressive revenue goals that pushed all of the teams beyond capacity and has had a negative impact on employee’s mental health (which is ironic considering the mission is supposedly serving the underserved and helping the mental health industry). The leadership doesn’t seem to really understand the customer base and audience, or the employees for that matter. It’s a bunch of companies that got acquired mashed into one, so it is still in the growth stage and there are a lot of growing pains. Leadership bungled the Black Lives Matter and George Floyd response and initially refused to say that black lives matter. It made a lot of them uncomfortable. Senior leadership only changed course when employees collectively put a lot of pressure on them from inside. Now during the pandemic they have had price increases and are attempting to extract greater profits from telehealth to satisfy investors. A lot of the original team are leaving or being forced to leave due to the negative changes. A lot of us who actually do the hard work believe deeply in therapy and mental health. That’s why we got into the industry in the first place. It is heartbreaking to see the company betray trust and stray so far from what we should be all about. There is so much potential at this company, and I hope it reverses course and gets better.

Thank you for your feedback. I agree that we have wonderful people who care deeply about our industry, and it is a privilege for us all to work together. As we continue to grow, we are seeking top talent and skills that allows us to evolve and support our customers and team members. As good stewards of the business, our leadership has a vision to grow a nimble and aspirational company that can spot opportunities, set attainable goals, and make needed adjustments in a fast-paced environment. It’s rewarding to know that our solutions help medical professionals to aid some of the most vulnerable communities. It is the reason many of us joined the company. We are actively working to formalize a customer advisory board and user programs to enlist the help of our customers to help steer the product road map and strategy. At the same time, we are working to harmonize our family of brands through rationalized best practices and processes, and are striving to create a thriving, engaging culture for all through enhanced engagement, recognition and top-notch employee benefits. We recognize that we have work to do, and we truly appreciate your honest feedback. You are invited to reach out to a member of leadership or People Operations to discuss so that we may work together to continually improve.

No longer honoring the original vision

Pros

The people actually doing the work are incredibly supportive of one another and sincerely passionate about the products we build and the people who use them.

Cons

Many people in the company are experiencing a betrayal of trust, especially those of us who have been around for a while. Lots of us took our "start up" jobs knowing we’d be paid less with fewer benefits and have a more precarious future because of the products we were building and the people we were serving. We believed in the vision of the company's founder to "serve the under served" and that’s why so many of us have stuck it out this long. But then the founder stepped down and things have gone downhill ever since. "Serve the under served" gets tossed around so much by our current leadership but rarely do their actions reflect the meaning behind the message. The current era of the company in no way resembles what we all thought we were getting into and it’s becoming more apparent that the company’s driving force is our investors' exit. Sales and revenue goals have remained the same even though most of our customers are struggling due to COVID-19. The quality of our products is suffering because our teams are focusing on revenue generating initiatives and less and less on customer requests or needs. A few folks who have been around since the early days of the company have left or are beginning to reach their limits because of the lack of care our senior leadership shows. They don’t know our customer base and don’t seem to care to so they have grossly underestimated how sudden price increases, lack of quality of life improvements and a drowning tech support team impacts our customers' perceptions of our products. For many of us, our work is incredibly personal and meaningful so seeing all our good faith squandered by corporate greed is incredibly disheartening.

Thank you for your feedback. I couldn’t agree more that we have incredibly supportive employees who are passionate about the industry we serve. The company’s leadership team is equally passionate about the work our customers do, the industries we serve, and the new innovations that keep this space so exciting. While change can be difficult, it’s a vital part of every organization and is needed to continue to meet the needs of customers and employees into the future. To continue gaining valuable insight from our customers around their needs and our products, we have plans to formalize a customer advisory board and user group programs to ask our customers to help us steer the product road map and strategy. Please know our door is open and we value your feedback as a means to continually improve. We’d ask that you reach out to People Operations or a member of senior leadership if you’d like to discuss so that we may hear your additional ideas and seek improvements.

A Company That Cares

Pros

It's great to work with a company that cares about both the customers and the employees. The compassionate leadership exhibited during the pandemic has reinforced what I had already observed as an employee. Our safety has been considered above all else while keeping a laser focus on meeting our customer's needs. We serve an ever important part of the healthcare ecosystem and it's fulfilling work.

Cons

Not really a "con" but it is always a challenge to bring standalone companies together under one vision. That's a challenge but is also very rewarding. Leadership is working hard to leverage the strengths of many different companies with individual cultures. A lot of progress has been made as we evolve to be a more unified family of brands and provide our customers a robust offering to support theirneeds.
