Pros

The workforce is driven by a desire to make a positive impact, and this shared purpose among colleagues can be inspiring. There are also a variety of “fun budgets” allocated for snacks, wellness activities, technical upgrades, and educational opportunities. This focus on employee well-being and development is commendable, even if it doesn’t fully compensate for other shortcomings. The comprehensive health insurance coverage is another positive point, and it’s an aspect of the benefits package that many employees appreciate.

Cons

Regrettably, the company falls short in several key areas. The compensation structure is a notable concern; employees are not paid according to their worth or their contributions to the organization. Salaries and bonuses seem to be determined subjectively, without a clear link to the achievement of concrete goals or significant milestones. The salary bands are so broad that they provide no real insight into the compensation structure or how one might advance within it, leading to a sense of inequity and uncertainty. The company culture is another area of concern. There is a pervasive sense of ‘toxic positivity’, where management reframes negative experiences as being somehow beneficial to employees, rather than acknowledging and addressing issues. This creates a disconnect between the culture as it is presented and the reality experienced by many employees. Management does not take responsibility for the mistakes they make. While employees do uphold this standard of ethics, management is free to make decisions that impact employees with little accountability to the culture they claim. Finally, It’s concerning to see Fearless partner with companies known for creating work environments that foster low morale and disrespect employees. This choice not only impacts the reputation of our organization but also calls into question its commitment to culture practices.

Pros

Good pay, good benefits, cool office.

Cons

They care about landing contracts to the point that it is disingenuous to customers. If leadership smells even a whiff of you not fitting with a contract, then you're just fired - no relocation chances... you're just fired without severance.

We hear your concerns and we are constantly working on improving ourselves and the employee experience at Fearless. Working with government clients has growing pains but the potential for so much impact. One of our intentions at Fearless is to help shift the culture of contract-to-contract employment in the Government space. So, we created a robust ‘on-deck’ program to help our team members transition between contracts. It's important that we hire for the person, not the project. Although we weren't a fit for each other, we wish you the best in your next endeavor.

Awesome Place to Work

Pros

- The culture is amazing. I think the leadership & folks here really try to embody the values of this place most times. - There are nice perks especially now that remote culture is being embraced - People generally have good intentions and are pretty good at what they do when they want to be

Cons

Of course there's no perfect workplace so here goes: - compensation isn't exactly as competitive as it could be - people tend to take advantage of the values/culture and can be entitled (this comes across as bullying of others' opinions and leadership atimes - people typically don't like to go outside of their comfort zone or "duties" - the need for diversity/inclusivity tends to overshadow heteronormativity. for example, if we say inclusion is important and I am mindful enough to respect pronouns like they/theirs but mine is she/hers, then I should be addressed properly in company posts as opposed to generic/impersonal messages that use other pronouns that sound more politically correct. #justsaying
