Pros

There is a lot of potential for career advancement at Fifth Third if you want it. The hourly wage is very nice compared to many places.

Cons

There is not a ton of support from upper management, which is kind of disappointing. They also seem to be more sales focused than customer service focused, but I guess most banks are now.

Pros

Fifth Third offers plenty of resources and the potential to move up or around the company. They offer great benefits and wonderful opportunities.

Cons

Fifth Third does not pay very well. I left a different financial institution as a part-time teller making almost $12 an hour. I am a full time "teller" (really a CSR) making a little over ten and I have been working there for over 2 years. Their raises are lousy. Fifth Third also pushes you to sell products a lot, making coming to work and doing your job uncomfortable at times-especially in this economy.

Pros

I would say the best reasons to work at Fifth Third would be a lot of responsibility, somewhat competitive salaries, and opportunity for advancement. The people who I work with are great.

Cons

I feel like most branches are understaffed because employees end up overworked quite a bit of the time. Commission structures are not as generous as competitors. Upper management such as Regional Managers and Assistant Regional managers micro manage on a daily basis and are very condescending.
