Pros

Women do hold management positions - as well as Board positions with this company. Wonderful working with and getting to know colleagues in different countries. For foreign employees - they will hire and sponsor you. NO other pros whatsoever.

Cons

Hire way too many employees from overseas in order to save on payroll - but then turn around and waste in legal fees. I think the entire function of Finastra is to constantly buy and merge - ALWAYS a mess. WAY too much turnover, and very quickly, in Senior Management and HR - Sales Heads, Presidents of Divisions, VP, SVP, Heads of Americas, etc. - many last less than 1 year. Loooooooong hours with expectations to work around the clock seven days a week - where the salary in no way warrants that type of position. A LOT of travel is expected - locally as well as internationally. With management constantly changing - like a revolving door - so changes targets, expectations, projects, roll-outs, team layouts, goals, measurements, training, etc.

Pros

Severance packages. Cobra. Relatively quick termination process as Finastra/Vista is very very used to and good at only one thing – firing people. Malauzai, you're next to have the "VISTA PLAYBOOK" & "VISTA BEST PRACTICES", the manifestos on how to get rich by gutting enterprise sw companies – and dressing them up for suckers to buy – imposed on you.

Cons

They DO NOT CARE if you built the products, are ahead of the rest of the company, did the job of 7 people, transformed process yrs before anyone at finastra,, or even cost them less money. You will be lumped together and fired en masse. Performance and contrbutions mean nothing. Doing more than the bare minimum at Finastra is akin to working for free.

Pros

I get a paycheck twice a month and the benefits are good (healthcare, PTO) People can work from home If you only want to do what your told and have no desire to have your voice heard this is the place for you

Cons

When D+H was acquired last year, we had no idea what we were in for. It should have been a logical marriage where misys stays on their side and D+H stays on theirs to focus on the markets that they were successful in. Instead it is just chaotic and disrespectful . If you are from Misys and work out of the Paddington office, you will be promoted over any and all D+H people even if you never have worked in the U.S. markets and know nothing about them. They micromanage people to within an ounce of ridiculousness. Any sense of customer caring, creativity or cross-functional collaboration that D+H was built on has been squashed. US workers (the ones that are left and not let go or outsourced to manila or India) are now brainless minions being told what to do for the UK all-knowing untouchables (all departments). The US market is being directed by people who have no idea what it is and wouldn't know how to even interact with a credit union or small bank president. But every month we get a memo about a new Head of this, SVP of that, or some new c-Suite title based out of Paddington while the people doing the actual work are grossly understaffed and there is a hiring freeze. We have lost our personal identities in the process, and lost our ability to feel like we are making a contribution to the company. It's just not fun.
