DEAD END jobs

Pros

Great for favorites of the private equity owner. Take this one San Francisco exec and her friends, for example, and their perks: 1) Free downtown SF parking 2) Biggest salaries, fattest bonuses and raises, double dipping from employee pool AND from secret management pools 3) Free to come late at 12pm and be out by 4pm 4) 3-4 day weekends all the time as they "worked from home" on every Mon and Fri 5) Private closed door offices and entire conf rooms with the best views reserved for themselves

Cons

Unless you are them and their minions who get the crumbs, Finastra will be a totally different company for you. Compensation, promotions, and whether you get laid-off will have nothing to do with your performance. NOTHING. The execs are evaluated by Vista based on the how many offices they close and how many jobs they move overseas. The #1,2,3 goals are to get someone to buy our phony story, take their money, and run ASAP. They could care less about the long-term damage.

In the USA it's a disaster

Pros

Work with a lot of very intelligent dedicated people. The SaaS product I worked with had become very stable. The jury is still out on the current CEO.

Cons

Dishonest upper and executive management that lies to employees and customers/client banks on a routine basis. In my last year there, I had 4 different managers with 3 of them quitting to go to other companies. Multiple offices closed in the U.S. during 2018 with hundreds of jobs off shored to foreign countries. Finastra is very good at marketing, poor at product delivery, and awful at customer support.

These Reviews are Padded

Pros

-Great coworkers -Bank holidays if you aren’t laid off beforehand -Coffee, soda, tea -Great branding

Cons

These Glassdoor reviews are being padded by HR or by the revolving door of contractual receptionists. The 3.3 is not accurate and it should be more of a 2.3. There are constant layoffs followed by HR and management saying everything is okay, then there are more layoffs
