Pros

the food will not kill you; great customers; regular income potential; kitchen and dining staff are very nice; great job for junior high school students with no experience and no life experience

Cons

managers do not seem to know what they are doing; management shows bias for his relatives/friends (like a gang); dishonesty is part of corporation's method of operation; must double check hours and paycheck because of sketchy practices; I was lied to my face since I was hired

Hello! "Sketchy" is not part of who we are so something seems to have definitely gone astray in that location! Being lied to, dishonesty....these are words that are really hard to read as it is so far off from the company's core. We do have some management changes in process in that location as we speak. Please reach out to us at our home office in Phoenix as we would love to hear your point of view to understand and address your comments. We are sorry that you have a negative experience.

Not Good For Seasoned Professionals

Pros

If you are seasoned in your career, this is not the company for you. FRC offers great training and advancement for persons who are new in their career. In many locations it is not unheard of to have a GM or District manager who in in their 20's. Compensation is very competitive.

Cons

The culture is broken. HR spins a terrific yarn at the "Big Kitchen" corporate offices, but the same culture is completely non-existent in the actual restaurants. NO work life balance exists. You are told you will be working "55 hours" but then expected to "put in as many hours necessary" which translates into 80 hour work weeks. The company is very much led as a "Cult of Personality" and questioning processes, operations, and methods is not acceptable. Many managers are promoted from within with no experience outside of FRC. This lack of world and work experience from upper management becomes apparent as decisions are based only on Fox experience. Management can only "demanded" respect but fails to "command" respect.

Pros

You can negotiate a much higher pay than the same position with other companies do to how desperate they are for managers. They still believe in truly focusing on the guest 1st.

Cons

Too many concepts! HR is all over the place. Stores aren't all on the same page. Training stores are more of a heres a book read it, take some tests, and we expect you to be amazing but we teach you nothing about how to do it. They say "55 hour work week" but if you're there less than 60-65 they are all over you. Benefits are horrible and expensive. 401k isn't until after a year!

We are bummed to hear that things are going like they should, that you are working a ton and that stores aren't on the same page. Sounds like we need to look at lots of things including our benefits. If you care to call us up at our home office we would love to hear more so we can address your comments head on.
