Pros

Excellent mission makes you feel good every day. Good work/life balance. Strong diversity and inclusion (though there is always room for improvement). Predominantly female workforce.

Cons

Poorly run organization with very high turnover rates (more than 50% average YOY). We have reorganized/restructured 1-2 times per year in the time I've been with the organization. Ineffective executive team has almost no business acumen and throws away large $$ on consultants and failed projects. Priorities shift every 4-6 months with lots of wasted time, energy and budget. Office politics are off the charts, creating a nasty mean girl culture that drives away top talent.

Pros

Nice people -- fairly good benefits

Cons

Feel happy veneer, but underneath it's rotten. Understaffed. Very, very high turnover. Disorganized. Huge amount of bickering among upper level management. Departments do not cooperate or work together. One manager is super bully, has temper tantrums and screams at staff -- this person has reduced each employee on the team to tears more than once and they have all complained to HR, but nothing is done. Another manager claims she likes "to pound on staff". Run like a grade-school girls club, full of backstabbing and mean girl behavior. All around a toxic place.

Pros

You can buy Girl Scout cookies year round.

Cons

After 1.5 months of multiple interviews, rounds of paperwork with HR, and a wonderful call in which they said they were happy to finally be able to give me the job, I was called a mere 3 hours later and told that the job offer had to be rescinded and given to an internal candidate. I called them back and held for 10 minutes - no answer. Responded to her e-mail in which she had told me the same thing, "Sorry, but we are going to have to rescind the offer," and was never even given an explanation.
