Get hired just to be fired

Pros

Nonne not a single one

Cons

This is the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life. I was present while 200 people were hired in the course of eight months only to see over 100 of them fired because they underestimated the workload and volume of calls that would come in because they don’t know how to do math and they don’t have anyone from Workforce that knows how to Workforce. Find out today they’re having another drawdown but instead of spreading it out over eight months they’re just gonna fire 70 to 100 people in the course of the next few days and have a reduction enforce. They deny claims that shouldn’t be denied the gaslight people to call in knowing well that the problem is on their end and not on the call end It’s being propped up to be sold

Pros

Gravie's Comfort Product is ambitious, it's full great ideas and it's revolutionary. The CEOs seem like a passionate and cool people.

Cons

Where do I begin? Accountability is only expected from the people working the phones, management has a knack for deciding that they don't need to be held accountable. The role is nothing like it is advertised, you get licensed like every other broker and insurance producer in America but you also wear every possible customer service hat with probably the least amount of pay you could imagine for a role that requires you work insane hours, deal with horrible stress and incompetency from the leadership within your team. I mean yeah you're juggling a lot of responsibilities naturally at a start up but you have to do more than normal amounts of juggling; does the member not know how to use a computer well I guess you've got to play IT specialist, is the member having a mental breakdown well I guess you've got to play therapist, is the product failing well I guess you'll need to do QA testing. It's honestly very ridiculous, the role was advertised as a cool relaxing opportunity to gain customer facing experience, hands on experience with health insurance but instead we are expected to work these incredibly strenuous hours with horrible pay and overtime pay that literally does not move the needle. You deal with angry customers, management that sometimes has no clue what they are doing and just an overall department that lacks general direction. Advice from managers and leads is consistently conflicting each other, when one tells you to go right the other says no go left. Any set of questions you have to provide more useful care feels like you're annoying them, and the seriously high amount of micromanagement is just really uncomfortable. Honestly speaking Gravie is a start up and yes start ups are stressful but what is going on in the Gravie care team is borderline abuse, the workload is always increasing but the turnover is increasing faster than the companies revenue. At this point I'm convinced the average tenure at Gravie is like six months, because everyday someone leaves. This is a role if you take where you'll really feel your mental health slowly deteriorate, you'll hate going to sleep because you know every morning you're going to be faced with condescending leadership within your team that really just does not like being bothered with any request. I'm being kind saying all that I have said because there is so much more to say but I'll leave you with this, if you want to have to really ask for permission to go use the bathroom please by all means join the gravie-care team. If management really understood the entire companies success is contingent on the happiness of the members and their happiness is really in the hands of the care advisors.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, Modern Office Space, Casual Environment

Cons

Poor Management, Poor Executive Leadership, Toxic Workplace, get ready to be asked more and more with no recognition or reward, backstabbing employees, a culture of paranoia, poor customer service, management only looking to roll out new products with no substance or infrastructure to back it up
