Pros

There were not any pros to this position

Cons

Tax pros were bard to work with and nmade their business to be difficult and not want to do what was expected. They consistently complained and made it a very dark atmosphere to work in. I had to also deal with passive aggressiveness and racism. When i told my MTL what happened, she would become defensive and dismissive and claim they didn't mean it while not taking jnto account how i had felt about the situation.

Pros

There aren’t any pros with them

Cons

I unfortunately have been dealing with racism as well as passive aggressiveness within my office. Certain tax pros are upset that they were demoted years ago from management to tax pro and take that out on me. They tend to not want to do things associated with their job title. There is no reason why I should have to repeat myself more than once on WIP and campaign calls. When I bring things up to my MTL, she just makes excuses and is dismissive regarding their actions. I was told by the MTL that I’m nothing more than a “glorified receptionist” in FRONT of new tax pros! I wonder at times what I was even hired for if that’s how she feels. My tax pros do make working with them difficult and attempt to get me in trouble for petty stuff. I was told on because I wasn’t answering phones enough but I was attempting to take a 15 due to being scheduled 14 hour shifts daily and I was in back for not even the full 15 and they only had to answer TWO calls. Now I no longer take breaks and now I’m being told I was told on for not telling the tax pros when I’m leaving(which I do). I swear I work with a bunch of miserable individuals. Even when I come up with fun little incentives for the office, they complain. Can’t catch a break and I definitely don’t get paid enough to put up with all of that. I also feel there isn’t enough support from upper management either. Oh and my MTL made inappropriate, racial comments about my hair after I told her how a tax pro did the same as well as invaded my personal space and comfortability by pulling and touching my hair without permission. There’s also no work to life balance and expect to e working 14 hour shifts everyday for 2-3+ weeks straight with no breaks.
