Pros

Quiet, you can do homework if you’re going to school

Cons

Lots and lots of phone calls you have to make to people who don’t answer or don’t want anything to do with H&R Block but you have to call them multiple times a day.

Toxic work environment

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

It is not a very physical job.

Cons

They can't fire anyone, because they are understaffed. Even if the employee is abusive, and makes mistakes, and lakes out at management and other employees. The company is in an outdated model basses on brick and mortar locations, so their fixed costs are high. Yet, customers number one complaint is price, so they can't pay employees well. What they do pay is based on commissions, so employees fight over customers instead of for customers. The missy toxic employees, and the low salaries drive many of the best employees away. They need to but the bullet and jump into today, instead of the slow crawl out of the 80's that they're currently on.
