      Pros

      Great employees and you get to meet a lot of people. The job is not stressful at all, nor are the hours. Excellent place for those looking to gain receptionist experience. I think H&R Block is a good company with excellent work place values. However, the low pay makes you question whether or not the company is worth working for.

      Cons

      Not enough hours, very little pay, favoritism among management. My manager in particular could’ve done a better job at communicating with the employees.

      Pros

      Flexible hours, nice and clean environment, not a difficult job. Good little side job, just be prepared for the cons.

      Cons

      Under tremendous pressure to cold call past clients. It's annoying for clients to keep getting called several times each season to "confirm" their appointments or beg them to come in to see us the current year. These people don't answer the phone and if they do, they hang up in your face or are just uninterested. Also, there are usually appointments every hour on the hour and the tax pros sometimes don't even get time to eat between clients. Sometimes they may have to snack which is an unhealthy thing to do all day. All because H&R Block's philosophy is the clients come first. To heck with the employees' needs.
