Pros

Good opportunity to work overtime. You do get sick time as well. There is opportunity to come back as Tax professional if you exceed expectations.

Cons

You will be required to make cold calling to customers in their database system. Be prepare to deal with angry customers and out-bound calls. The company, at the time, didn't have a standard tax filling price which made it impossible to answer customers questions. Tax professionals were the only ones that could provide an estimated filling price, but they were busy and could not or didn't want to answer this type of questions. They pay was minimum wage.

Pros

It was better than being unemployed.

Cons

"Team" did not mean cooperation: instead, managers and stores competed against one another. The tax service itself seemed okay but the atmosphere of desperate last-minute work scheduling and frantic go-go-go outbound phone calling did not create an impression that this is a company to be trusted.
