Pros

Money, Flexible in work hours, Co-workers, seasonal work, you don't get burnt out all year.

Cons

Lack of options on CE training, but that has more to do with our franchise owner than what HR Block actually offers.

Pros

H&R Block was a great place to work for an upcomming accounting major in university, although I was not working as a tax professional, I did pick up ALOT of information about personal and business income taxes which in my opinion has been a great asset for my personal development.

Cons

Business model has flaws in regards to how appointments are made and staffing. What i mean by this is how to manage walk in clients and appointments. Lets just say you end up making alot of people frustrated at peak times.

Pros

The tax training was excellent; One is well prepared to do tax returns. Unfortunately as a first year Pro, you won't be doing many taxes.

Cons

After 3 months of training and being sold the opportunity to work seasonal, and having benefits, you don't get hours and therefore the benefits. With the close of tax season, I didn't make it onto the final schedule because of a sluggish tax year.
