Pros

Hourly pay from day one / company pays for all the equipment and licensing / OK commissions / good structure and support which some feel is micromanagement but it is also very clear expectations and a winning formula if followed / if not doing well but working hard, they keep paying your base salary and shift you around to other divisions to get more experience instead of getting rid of you / $50K - $55K realistic if you are mediocre but more if you are good and can choose less base pay with higher commissions. Busy in season when you can make extra money with more sales and overtime. Overall a good job with a level of job security and a decent income.

Cons

$50K - $55K if you are average and hard to get into the top 30% to make $75K plus. If you are that good, there are other companies where the earning potential is better - HOWEVER, not sure about working conditions and training at the competition and if they pay for lic and equiment as HealthPlanOne does. The company can assign you to another division and you have no say in it. You could get a better position for more money or they could put you to do all outbound calls with very little potential for commissions if they feel that you need more experience. Trouble is that is NOT how you get more experience selling, since there is very little opportunity to make a sale doing outbound calls. Very busy in season with a lot of sometimes mandatory overtime and often no time for breaks, but you make more money. Off seasons there is little more than base salary unless you are in higher tier sales, meaning you get better leads. Off season is a lot of cold calls, which is never fun, but they pay you for it with decent base salary. I don't consider these true "Cons" - there is no perfect job. This is an established company and you will pretty much know for sure what you will be getting and what your job is going to be, Expectations are set very clearly. If you work hard, you should succeed. Not for those who are nitpicking. Pretty secure job with good training and decednt income. No misteries, no misleading recruiting scams, you get exactly what you signed up for.

Not the best

Pros

Pro's are dependent on what company you got contracted with.

Cons

Training is insufficient, they will acknowledge that they're aware and apologize, but not do anything about it. Supervisors all have different information and none of them align, so you may be told one thing by one supervisor only to find out they were wrong by another. Commission and bonuses change and sometimes without sufficient time to meet metrics. (ex. They will tell you that to qualify for a bonus last month you must have completed XYZ, but there's nothing you can do about it since the month has already passed.)

Pros

If you are new to sales and enrollment they have always been superb in their training.

Cons

You get what you put into it. Like any company you are scored according to your skills in sales and given better opportunities to sell.

Pros

Training is in depth and is spread over a reasonable amount of time. They want to make sure that you are prepared for the job. The only other benefit is working from home.

Cons

The base pay is very low. I was told this was a sales position, however, it is primarily a transfer program. I am required to try to transfer the client to a local field agent before I am able to assist with any applications. Basically, giving my money away unless the field is unavailable.

Pros

Good health plans, Decent Pay. *seemingly supportive supervisors/managers (too early to tell at this point) Training is pretty on point so far.

Cons

The fact that the ad seemed to be describing a job for a Customer Service/Support role, when in actuality it is more or less a Sales Role. (I'm not against doing sales, but it seems a tad unethical and already starts things off on the wrong foot for me, personally)

Pros

Decent pay, great Leadership and a wonderful Training Department.

Cons

The only con I think of is this is a fully remote job so you have to be structured to succeed.

Pros

They are very good with Diversity and Inclusion.

Cons

They don't seem to have good training classes and definitely play favoritism. Also believe agents are very under paid.

Pros

Flexible schedule, multiple carriers, Friendly supervisors

Cons

Change terms of agreement after employed while cleaving to your license to move on. Not flexible schedules as agreed in hiring. Poor training and performance of scheduling software. High turnover in HR for poor contracting and release of license. Non-payment of last check, commission and bonus when terminating due to disability accomodations.

Pros

Initial Medicare training and plan training is very good and thorough.

Cons

Sales coaching is pretty average. It made it difficult to work through different objections. There was more emphasis put on my numbers, rather than for building me up as a good rep. They feed their top reps which is great for them but makes it challenging to make headway throughout a year. Was informed by management they were going to place me in a different department but let me go. Would have been fine if given at least a weeks notice.
