Pros

1. Some truly smart, kind people work there. 2. Fairly flexible work schedule most of the time. 3. Great concept for product - just can't make it a functional reality. 4. Bring your dog to work.

Cons

1. Smug, detatched, non-focused, non- communicative people. 2. No training or onboarding program - you're on your own with not even any resources given. It's all "figure it out yourself" - which would be fine if people would communicate & help and they'd have any sense of resource center. 3. Senior and experienced people leaving in droves. 4. Unsure future. 5. Teams don't know what other teams or people are doing. 6. Cliques with women, and some frat mentality with other teams. 7. Product doesn't have much distinctive features, and is way behind in some features that competition has.

Inexperienced team and lots of politics

Pros

Nice location in downtown Redwood City, fun monthly all-company events, interesting product

Cons

*No women in management. No women FTE's above manager level. Strong women are not seen as team players and actively are leaving the company. *A tremendous amount of politics. You will spend your time focused here rather than doing your job. Watch the meeting rooms. When you see two people in there not reviewing something on a screen, be worried. *Inexperienced CEO. As other have said, the CEO actively pits direct reports against each other. He cannot make a decision and this impacts morale, hiring, and product roadmap. *Largely inexperience management team and board. Most of the management team members have never been in a role above director level nor have they managed people. The board has many first time board members.

Pros

- Some super talented engineers - Great product concept and opportunity - Customers want Highfive to win - Some terrific coworkers

Cons

- Product moves VERY slowly. Way behind in feature and performance improvements - 5 different marketing leadership scenarios in last 2 years - Lacks the "move fast" nature of startups - hard to make things happen - Exec team has a hard time facing big problems
