AMAZING COMPANY TO WORK FOR

Pros

Let me start by saying I rarely write reviews for anything, however I felt the need to write this one. I started working for Hilton Grand Vacations call center in Las Vegas in September 2013. I landed there after being fed up with the fly by night companies. My plan was to work in the call center for 6 months and transfer to selling timeshare. Needless to say that didn't happen. Never did I imagine working in a call center selling vacation packages could be so lucrative. My first full year in I made 80k. Not only was the money great but so were the people I worked with as well as management. You form a family bound. The company acknowledges their employees with Award Ceremonies, Dinners at 5 star restaurants. Auctions giving away thousands in merchandise from Tv's, vacations, jewelry etc. Spiffs which involved Amex and Visa gift cards. After 2 (1/2 )years, I decided to follow my passion of selling timeshare but not for Hilton. Needless to day after about 6 months and hoping from company to company the grass was not greener on the other side. I returned back to Hilton and was ecstatic about being back. I transferred to Chicago excited that Hilton had a similar position in Chicago selling same vacation packages face to face to hotel guest. Giving me the opportunity to be around family while not giving up what I absolutely loved. Had this position not been here in Chicago I would still be in Las Vegas. They don't put a cap on your earning potential so you truly create your own paycheck. The team travel program is Top Notch.

Cons

Standing on my feet all day.

Pros

This could have been a good place but senior management needs to go!! As do their worker bees...

Cons

Where do i start? The president's assistant seems to make all of the hiring and firing decisions. The admins there truly are backstabbing and catty. Why on earth the assistant to the president is given "the power" she has is beyond me. I think she has pictures....seriously. Senior management is highly overpaid and under trained. They sure do know how to have a good time...wink wink nod nod. Horrible place due to the people who work there. Unless you truly WANT to wake up and go to work in HELL...stay away.

It's all a lie

Pros

Ok benefits Co worker are great. Vacation rooms at a small discount. That's all I can think of right now

Cons

Hilton does not follow their own rules. If you are in the management clique you can say or do whatever you want. Other employees are picked out and really just treated like poop. If you go to her they lie and say they will handle it.....they do not. If you have a fmla you are a target. Management is allowed to yell at you they are allowed to ignore you and they are allowed to deny you trying opportunities. It is suppose to have a open door policy but if you use that you become a hr target and they do things to get you fired. They refer to those people as problem children. What a joke of an operation.
