The biggest problem here, at least for lower level positions, is the wage. Most of the employees at this facility have been here 5+ years and make an extremely low wage. Its not even a living wage in my opinion and definitely not competitive compared with other companies. We had a meeting over 6 months ago, where several of us expressed this, and was told it would be looked into. Haven't received any feedback since. I understand that our wages are not based on tenure but generally the reason that people stay at a job is because they expect to advance eventually. Our wages are not adjusted when minimum wage rises. Therefore we stay stuck at just above minimum wage forever!??! This company is wanting “1440” employees which we all continue to be for our residents, but sometimes when all you can think of all day is if you will have enough gas to get to work the rest of the week or what you’re going to feed your children for dinner because you have no money, it makes it hard to be “1440” for this company. We’re told that we’re appreciated and this facility couldn't run without us but our paychecks show that to be false. I feel that great employees are underpaid, Also, everyone working here are supposed to be treated equally?? Can you please explain to me then, who and how its determined which employees pay for their carport and which don’t?!?
