Pros

-Ability to work - mostly - fully remote -Some flexibility with schedule

Cons

This may be a more departmental issue than company wide - though the company has a very bizarre culture. However my direct report had no actual experience with the software we used on a daily basis and was unable to even answer basic questions. There was definite favoritism and nepotism, apparent by my direct report still having a job. There is quite literally almost 0 room for growth, people never leave positions and when they do they get inundated with applications. So unless you are grossly over qualified you won't be getting the position. Pay is also EXTREMELY low, like a noticeable drop from comparable companies. There are no cost of living raises and no guaranteed raises at all. Inflation will rapidly out pace your pay. There is also a large degree of overall disorganization.

Pros

A company that is always looking toward the future with regard to technology, health & healthcare. A company that actually cares about the employee. Also, a great culture of compassionate and like-minded people who are goal driven.

Cons

There are some in senior management that have been there for a very long time and are old school. Both in theory and in practice which is not consistent with the rest of the company.

Crisis in leadership

Pros

Day-to-day colleagues are dedicated, and benefits are generous.

Cons

Top leaders have been riding the wave for too long - the company has become slave to their egos and whims. Their ideas are stale, and their motives are suspect as being in service to their power, self-interest or friends' interest and their egos. While they promote to mid-level leadership using appropriate considerations (yeah HR!), for those positions that are hired by the executive team, they hire via the buddy system and not according to merit/performance or years of service/dedication.
