Pros

Great Benefits. Training was great.

Cons

Don't let them fool you and tell you that your going to make a bonus because chances are you aren't. Everywhere smells like a company that is about to go under. Supervisors can do whatever they want it is like being excepted into a club or something. My supervisor messed with my work, and accuracy of my monthly reviews she harassed me because she didn't like me, she would never train me on anything and then when I wouldn't know how to do something she would get nasty with me, She would send me horrible emails and was the most negative person in our department she would bash HR and her supervisor and actually call some of the HR people ignorant and she hated the training staff because they never knew how to operate anything according to her .I was actually told not to actually say what she needed improved on in one of her reviews because If I had an issue I should go to her. But, what if the issue was her? Who do you go to? There is no one. When you would have an issue she would take you to a conference room and harass you and keep you away from your job for an hour and a half. She thinks that she can get away with everything because she is the supervisor and she wouldn't mind telling you that either. I am actually writing this because it is seriously concerning and needs to get looked into. How many people has this department went through in the past 5 years? and why did these people leave? Some of them good employees who learned fast and were great to work with and were team players. I had a family member who I recommend for a position and she was harassed so much that she had to leave. Nasty emails nasty responses to questions she needed to ask awful enough that she didn't even work her 90 days. And of course they asked me why she left and do you think I am going to say anything and be harassed like she was? no. They had an open door policy when it came to issues that needed to be discussed And everyone knew about them which would cause major tension and a hostile work environment.

Pros

• Schedules were reasonably flexible. • Bonus system somewhat offsets mediocre pay. • A good healthcare and dental package, if you stick around long enough to get it. • Some really decent coworkers and staff who deserve better. Getting hired at Infocision is extremely easy. If you need quick cash for a few months, want some entry-level call center experience, or just want to learn more about the underbelly of the telemarketing and cell phone business, you could certainly do worse.

Cons

• Differential system which forces you to work exactly 40 hours every week or see your hourly pay drop down to minimum wage. • Extremely high stress environment. Management seems to feel that prowling the booths yelling for more sales like kids at a pep rally will offset this. It doesn't. • Constant surveillance. Don't expect to be able to do so much as get up and go to the bathroom without asking permission first. • Little or no organization in regards to daily goals, expectations, and updates. • Little or no consistency in regards to rules and regulations. Each supervisor has a different set of expectations, and sometimes they are even contradictory to each other. • Highly mercenary, political environment. If you're not Republican and Christian, expect to feel very out of place. • Work is dependent upon available records. Communicators being sent home en masse in the last days of each month is not uncommon. • Be prepared to set your morals aside if you want to succeed here. You will be instructed to 'create pain' in customers in order to make them more pliable to your offers. It's really hard to feel proud of working at Infocision. Their business model is basically geared towards preying upon elderly Christians, uninformed Canadians and Republicans with deep pockets. You'll find every negative stereotype of telemarketing fulfilled here.

Pros

The biggest benefit is the ability to work from your home. The supervisors are helpful and positive. Also if the weather is bad you don't have to drive to work.

Cons

I had never heard of the concept of earning UNpaid time off until I was hired. There is no paid time off. We get holidays off without pay but are expected to make up the hours the same week. Not very worker friendly. If their server is down or equipment failure is on their part we are expected to make up those hours too. If we have to wait at the end of a call for an answer as to how to code a call that time is counted aginst us. This time is counted by seconds. We recieve no benifits and have been told just getting to work from home is our benifit. Also we are paid minimum wage and are unsure when or if we get raises. It can be a stressful job calling people who want to be called by a telemarketer as much as anyone does. I feel that we should be allowed to have personal days for just that reason.Taking time off is frowned apon unless it can be made up that week. It is hard to feel valued as an employee wehe we are treated this way.
