Pros

I found IBTS to be a good place to work. I was allowed to run my project with little or no intervention from the executive management team. When the executive management team did get involved it was always a positive experience. I was paid and treated fairly. I was given the opportunity to learn some new skills and to grow personally. Overall the people at IBTS are good people wanting to make a positive contribution to the world that we live in. Overall I was satisfied working at IBTS. Maybe one day I’ll go back.

Cons

In my 20+ years of working I have yet to work at a perfect company. IBTS is no exception. They have grown a lot in the past few years and I think as a result they are struggling a little finding their way. The management team is working on this. I believe that IBTS will over come the struggle.

Pros

Over the past two years, the company has greatly invested in its people and improved their benefits. I read over some of the other reviews and will admit I am confused as to what the individual is talking about when they say the benefits got worse. Last year during open enrollment, they added all kinds of new plans, enhanced the plans and made them better. They also decreased the amount employees pay for their families and kids and this year the company took on more costs even though the cost was supposed to go up. I have had a lot of opportunities to develop - from courses offered onsite through outside specialists or the opportunity to go and get a certificate. I find the management to be very supportive of my career development and have seen the HR team has grown as the investment in its people programs has as well.

Cons

All companies have their growing pains. The company has doubled in size over the past couple of years and has processes to develop and systems to enhance as a result. Nothing atypical.

Thank you for your feedback! Our Human Capital team has worked very hard over the past year to make significant improvements and enhancements to our employee benefits and we're glad that you have been able to take advantage of that, along with our professional growth opportunities. The management team has begun to improve their lines of communication with the rest of the organization and will continue to be more transparent.

Pros

Most of the employees are dedicated to their work.

Cons

Where do I start? Benefits have taken a turn for the worse in the last year; harassment issues abound.

We take claims of harassment seriously and use education and disciplinary measures to ensure IBTS is a safe work environment. We invite you to share your concerns with our Human Capital (HRhelp@ibts.org) and/or Legal (legal@ibts.org) teams. We appreciate feedback from our employees. Thanks to that feedback, during the past year, IBTS has made several significant improvements and enhancements to our employee benefits to include: decreasing the out-of-pocket costs through significant reductions in deductibles, decreasing the per-pay-period-cost share with increased % paid by the employer, addition of short term disability offering for all staff at no cost, increase of life insurance maximums, enhancements to plan designs within medical, dental and vision to include items such as increases in specific non-traditional items (i.e. orthodontics, implants, etc.).
