Pros

At the heart of Jackrabbit Technologies is a mission that drives everything we do: supporting an incredible client base. From dance instructors inspiring personal growth, to swim teachers imparting life-saving skills, and business owners dedicating their energy to such vital industries. This is why we show up every day—because we’re here to make a real difference. On the people side, I’m lucky to work with an amazing team of individuals who are always focused on delivering value to our clients. In a high-paced, high-accountability environment, we consistently collaborate to find the best ways to support the industry we serve. Accountability and collaboration are at the core of our culture, so be prepared to bring your ideas to the table, engage in candid conversations, and be challenged by leadership to push yourself every day. While the company is undergoing significant changes, I view this as a sign of progress. It can be a bit jarring at times, but I truly believe that we’re evolving to be an even more impactful player in the SaaS and youth activity center space. If you’re someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to make a difference, this is the place for you.

Cons

Like any company in a state of growth, there are definitely challenges. The pace can be intense, and while we're constantly striving to improve, it’s not always easy to keep up with the rapid changes. The high accountability culture means there's a lot of pressure to deliver, and it can sometimes feel like you're juggling a lot at once. But if you're someone who thrives on solving complex problems and finding new ways to evolve, you’ll be right at home.

Pros

So many great changes happening in the Product and in our Growth Teams. New Leadership in place to bring Jackrabbit forward as a force to be reckoned with in the Youth Activity Market is top of mind and its very exciting to see the progression.

Cons

This isn't really a "con" as much as an observation: Jackrabbit is moving and shaking right now with many changes! As part of the leadership team and as a long term employee these changes are tough! However, the immediate returns are already showing results. “We don’t grow when things are easy; we grow when we choose change and move forward.”

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We’re thrilled to hear your excitement around the changes happening across our Product and Growth teams, as well as the impact of our leadership. We know that transformation can be tough, especially for long-term team members who have experienced different phases of our journey, but it’s inspiring to see the early results already taking shape. Your observation is spot on, real growth often comes with challenge, and we’re grateful for team members like you who embrace change and help drive us forward. Together, we’re building something that will ensure Jackrabbit Technolgoies is a true leader in the youth activity and youth care market.

Changing culture overshadows what was a great company to work for

Pros

-Mostly nice coworkers -Some managers are helpful and invested in you -Great compensation

Cons

-New leadership and 'agile' consultants have created a different environment than what Jackrabbit once was. It feels like nothing is ever enough and that you must work way more than 8 hours a day although our culture is 'work-life balance' -Some co workers have embraced this culture change to target people they have personal problems with -The company has changed a lot over the years in a negative way and people dread coming to work every day

Thank you for sharing your experience. We recognize it’s not always easy to raise concerns, and we encourage you to continue bringing feedback directly to your manager or our leadership team so we can better understand and address it. We are committed to making sure every employee feels their voice is heard and valued, and if that’s not the case, we want to correct it. Your perspective underscores important areas for improvement, particularly around workload, transparency, and culture. It’s also important to note that our intent is not to rigidly “do Scrum,” but rather to embrace the positive guiding principles of the Agile Manifesto. If following Scrum mechanics ever takes priority over actually being agile, we want to address that urgently to stay true to what best serves our people, our clients, and the business. While we can’t promise overnight perfection, we will remain focused on measuring our success by client feedback and outcomes, ensuring we prioritize the changes that will have the greatest impact on both our team and our clients.
