JPPSS provides great opportunity to work with great kids. Depending on the school placement, you get to work with very knowledgeable and caring adminstrators.

Cons

Almost all my colleagues were burnt out. There was a very negative tone day in and day out toward students and district adminstration (some of which was warranted). Inside the school, there was great support, but there was relatively none in so far as district-wide leadership. For example, district/school programs were sometimes progressed on the whim of an individual with little experience in financial resource management - the outcome was typically a mishandled budget and a waste of training hours.

paid when out of school in summer your get good health benefits or a flexible spending fund to use for family

home work you bring home takes your personal time and there are a lot of after school activites that can keep you there late
